Telecom and datacom equipment revenue worldwide is seen growing 33%, from $107.9 billion in 2005 to $143.5 billion in 2009. An Infonetics report states that while wireless broadband and mobile radio equipment are the biggest revenue contributor now, sales will slow down this year as operators shift their spending to 3G equipment. Next-gen voice equipment and broadband aggregation and IPTV equipment will fuel the projected revenue increase through 2009. Wireless LAN gear sales are also on the rise, although representing a small market overall.
