ZTE reports that it has delivered its first telecoms infrastructure equipment in the UK to Global e Networks. The ZTE Class 5 soft switch system is being installed in London's Docklands telecoms hub, enabling Global e Networks to offer wholesale IP-based communications capabilities

Qualcomm, China Network System, and Taiwan Television Enterprise sign a deal to jointly conduct a technical trial of mobile TV services using Oualcomm's MediaFLO technology in Taipei. The trail, which is expected to begin later this month, will feature four live channels of CNS content and up to three live channels of TTV content.

Intelsat announces that Telenor Satellite Services expanded a multi-year contract with the firm to include transmission services on 3 different spacecraft in C- and Ku-band. The capacity is being used for Telenor's Sealink maritime high-speed data communications solution through its Eik Teleport in Norway.
