ZTE unveils a full set of terminal products based on HSDPA, a mobile communication technology beyond 3G. ZTE's HSDPA terminals include a tri-mode handset and a mobile TV handset supporting DVB-H.

Huawei Technologies releases the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. A, an end-to-end commercial solution including the DO Rev. A terminal EC360, which enables users to receive/send at a high-speed data rate of 3.1Mbps on the forward link and 1.8Mbps on the upload/download reverse link.

Cisco and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) expand their technology collaboration to advance IP networking in Singapore. This is in line with a memorandum of intent that the two parties signed in October 2005 to enhance current and future collaborations to identify, develop and deploy innovative converged infocomm applications in Singapore.
