Bids for 3G spectrum in India reached 63.54 billion rupee ($1.43b) at the end of day nine yesterday, reported the Economic Times.

Yahoo’s first-quarter profit more than doubled due to a rebound in display advertising, while revenues increased just 1% thanks to a 14% drop in search-advertising revenues.

Huawei has opened the doors of its new R&D facility in Ottawa, Canada. The center is Huawei’s ninth R&D site in North America and No. 17 worldwide.

Juniper Networks has returned to the black with a first quarter net profit of $163.12m, on 19% higher net revenues of $912.6m.

KT has launched e-bookstore service "Qook Bookcafe" that allows e-books to be traded across PCs, e-readers, smartphones and Internet TVs.
