Yahoo unveils plans to combine its email and messaging services to make it easier for its millions of users to choose between email and instant-messaging tools. Yahoo says Yahoo Mail, which counts 250 million active monthly users, will be incorporated with Yahoo Messenger in the "coming months."

Helio launches a mobile telephone service in the US that lets users track friends and plot routes using satellite-mapping technology. The phone, built by Samsung has a 'Buddy Beacon' feature that maps the whereabouts of as many as 25 users with similar devices.

The Hyatt hotel chain introduces the "BlackBerry Balm" hand massage service for executives constantly using BlackBerry devices. The hotel chain said more and more business travelers are complaining of hand and arm discomfort prompting the hotel to introduce the service.
