Operators Verizon, AT&T, Orange, Telefonica, TeliaSonera and Vodafone, and vendors Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, NSN, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson, have defined a standard voice/SMS transmission solution for LTE.

Microsoft yesterday began a series of around 800 job cuts, in addition to the 5,000 layoffs announced this year.
