Thailand's True in a report says it now has 400,000 fixed-line broadband Internet users and 20,000 Wi-Fi customers. The company said most of its subscribers are white-collar employees and university students.

Ericsson wins a four-year order to provide O2 in Ireland with new 2G and 3G network equipment. The contract includes providing mobile 'softswitch', and upgrading O2's access network with HSDPA technology.

MySpace announces that it will move into the digital music business by selling songs from nearly 3 million unsigned bands. MySpace is the latest company to try to take on Apple's iTunes Music Store, but unlike many other start-up rivals, it already boasts 106 million users.

Telenor Pakistan reports that it has expanded its network coverage to 613 destinations in the country. Officials said the carrier was able to execute its aggressive expansion plans in less than 18 months after the company was formally launched.
