World’s first mobile telematics service debuts in China

SK Telecom plans to commercialize “Mobile in Vehicle” (MIV) -- the world’s first mobile telematics service -- in China this December through its Chinese investment subsidiary E-eye High Tech. In Korea, the company is also in talks with major automakers on embedding MIV into their latest car releases.

iPhone app for 10-yr personal forecast released

Japanese game maker Acute Entertainment has released a new application for the iPhone dubbed ''Forecast of Yourself after 10 years.'' The game predicts what the user will be in 10 years’ time by asking 15 questions related to "dream," "money," and "love."

Travel search engine Sprice.com goes mobile

iPhone users worldwide will now be able to use Sprice Hotels to search over 120,000 hotels globally through a quick download on the online Apple App store. Aside from basic hotel information, the new application provides cost, user rating and even the distance from whichever landmarks they choose as the start point.

Bionic Eye brings augmented reality to iPhone

Available at the Apple App Store is Bionic Eye, a new application specifically developed for the iPhone 3GS that enables users to visualize over 100,000 nearby points of interest in the US. Through a unique augmented reality functionality using the iPhone camera, users can look for restaurants, Wi-Fi hotspots, subway stations, etc.
