NEC secures a deal with NTT DoCoMo to provide the Japanese carrier with next-generation handsets. Under the deal, NEC will provide the enhanced 3G phones by 2010, which will work with DoCoMo's planned "Ëœsuper 3G' network.

SEVEN announces the availability of its push email software on the new Sony Ericsson M600 and P990 smartphones. Users can find push email powered by SEVEN as Ericsson Mobile Organizer (EMO) from Ericsson, or as one of the push email brands marketed by the world's leading mobile operators, the firm said.

Taiwanese firm KGEX, a subsidiary of FarEasTone, selects Veraz Networks to provide the company the solutions for its planned VoIP rollout. Under the deal, KGEX will use Veraz's products to interconnect to a broad range of IP peering partners over either SIP or legacy protocols.
