FASTTAKES: Idea Cellular, Nokia, Cisco

India's Idea Cellular reports that it has crossed the 10 million-customer milestone. The mobile operator said between April and August, it added the highest number of net adds among all operators in its area of operations.

A Finnish court handed down a three-year prison sentence to a former employee of Nokia on charges of stealing mobile phone components valued at more than 600,000 euros ($765,000). Kaido Kreen, 41, an Estonian, was found guilty of aggravated theft.

Cisco secures a deal from Amanah Financial Services to deploy Cisco's network infrastructure solution. Under the deal, Cisco will provide LAN, WAN, IP telephony, security and IP call center products for Amanah.
