NTT DoCoMo says it will launch a fourth US Advisory Board, which will hold its first meeting in the US on April. The board will be chaired by former United States Federal Communications Commission chairman Michael K. Powell, currently chairman of the MK Powell Group and senior advisor of Providence Equity Capital.

Samsung unveils what it claims as the industry's first fusion semiconductor that combines two different types of flash memory. The Flex-OneNAND can help make handsets for mobile phones and multimedia gadgets much more compact at cheaper prices, Samsung said.

AT&T signs a mobile payment services deal with Wachovia Corp. and several other banks. The firm said the deals will allow its customers to manage their accounts and pay bills electronically by using their mobile phones.
