FASTTAKES: Cre8, Huawei, Chunghwa

New Zealand-based multimedia and mobile telephony firm Cre8 signs a deal to acquire Brazilian mobile content services company Mobile Development Limitada. Cre8 would not reveal the acquisition price of MDEV, saying only that it will focus on the creation and distribution of entertainment content for mobile phones.

Huawei partners with Israel-based Radvision to enhance the equipment maker's 3G products and solutions offerings. The products, including SCOPIATM 3G gateway, 3G video communication solutions and interactive video platform, will stimulate the application and popularization of 3G video and interactive services, Huawei said.

Chunghwa Telecom announces that it has been granted a CG6002 Certificate by Corporate Governance Association in Taiwan. Chunghwa also has received one of the CommonWealth Magazine annual survey awards for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.
