FASTTAKES: CNBC, BT, Alcatel-Lucent

CNBC extends its content distribution in the Asia Pacific, by adding 3 more regional telecommunications operators to its current suite of mobile players, including M1 in Singapore, Telkomsel in Indonesia and Mobitel in Cambodia.

BT acquires Mumbai-based i2i Enterprise, an enterprise services company specializing in IP communications services for major Indian and global multinational companies. The acquiring entity is BT Telecom India, BT's joint venture company with Jubilant Enpro Pvt.

Alcatel-Lucent signs a deal with ip.access to serve the needs of mobile operators wishing to extend their GSM/EDGE networks. The two firms said they will offer operators with in-building GSM over IP solutions, under the partnership.
