Deutsche Telekom deploys LTE in digital dividend

Nokia Siemens Networks readies TD-LTE for India
Nokia Siemens Networks has demonstrated the time division duplex version of long term evolution (TD-LTE) using broadband wireless access spectrum in India. Using interoperable TD-LTE dongles from Samsung, the demo showcased a peak throughput speed of 110Mbps and low latency in the range of 10-20 milliseconds.

The Femto Forum has published a set of application programming interfaces (APIs) which help enable long term evolution femtocell semiconductors and protocol software stacks from different vendors to interoperate. The APIs address three fundamental functions–RF modulation, scheduling and network monitoring.
