Asia Netcom signs an agreement with IP Converge for the provision of Internet bandwidth over a dedicated private leased circuit. Asia Netcom will deliver a 155 Mbps from the Philippines to Hong Kong, giving IP Converge direct connectivity to all major Internet destinations in Asia as well as to the US.

BT secures a contract to distribute market data from the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSEC). BT said the deal will allow overseas investors and market data vendors an alternative connection to obtain end-of-day and real-time data from the TSEC.

WiMAX firm Sequans Communications reports that it has received substantial investment capital from Motorola, through Motorola's venture capital arm. The investment is an extension of Sequans' recent round of funding announced in July, Sequans said.

The National Geographic Channel and Sony Ericsson agree to partner in a program to promote Asia through a one-of-a kind photography contest. The program calls for users to capture photos using cameraphones from Sony Ericsson.
