Canadian firm Wi-LAN is suing 19 companies – including Apple, HP, Dell, Intel and Motorola – in the US for alleged Bluetooth patent violations, reports Reuters.

Verizon could be trying to patent spot pricing for cloud computing, reports GigaOm. The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a patent application from Verizon on the service.

Indian cellco Vodafone Essar has crossed the 100m subscriber mark, becoming only the fifth operator in the world to reach the milestone in a single country. Others are China Mobile, China Unicom, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications.
