fastmobile and Jataayu to share mobile IM technology

fastmobile and Jataayu Software clinched an agreement Monday to share technology in mobile instant messaging.

John Hoffman, CEO of fastmobile, said the deal will enable the company to offer its clients IM products based on standards like IMPS (Instant Messaging and Presence Service), as well as bundle additional products and services such as email, voice integrated message and full supportfor branded IM portals such as Yahoo, MSN and AIM.

Jataayu, which is a major provider of IMPS-compliant IM solutions in the handset manufacturer sector, will gain from being able to offer these additional elements to its core customer base as a result, according to Raj Kesarimall, Jataayu's director of worldwide sales and marketing.
