The Ethernet business services market is projected to experience a double-digit growth rate until at least 2014, by which time it will be worth $40.2 billion, Vertical Systems Group said.
“Every major network provider is positioning Ethernet as a strategic business service, and deploying carrier Ethernet products to improve operations and reduce costs,” Vertical principal Rosemary Cochran said.
Research indicates that demand is soaring due to expanding accessibility, advances in standardization and the growing proliferation of VPLS offerings, she added.
