Ericsson secures network expansion contract in Pakistan

(Nordic Business Report via NewsEdge) Ericsson announced it has secured a deal to expand the network of Warid Telecom in Pakistan.

The deal is worth $274 million, Ericsson in a statement said.

The expansion would include Ericsson's Mobile Softswitch solution, radio, transmission and packet core network equipment, as well as multimedia services.

Under the agreement Ericsson will provide capacity for an additional 10 million subscribers through its mobile softswitch solution and the expansion of the radio access network in existing and new cities.
