Ericsson expects to win 100% of a major order from Brazilian operator Vivo to build a new GSM network in the South American state, an AFP report said.
'They were expected to announce it today. I assume we have won 100% when it comes,' Ericsson CEO Carl-Henric Svanberg told reporters after the company presented its second quarter earnings report.
'We haven't seen anything ourselves,' he was quoted as saying.
Svanberg did not say how much the order was worth, but according to Swedish media reports it is "billions of Swedish kronor."
Vivo is South America's largest telecommunications operator, and is the Brazilian joint venture of Portugal Telecom SGPS and Telefonica Moviles.
