iDirect Technologies has released the first customer deployment of its new enhanced software for the iDirect platform.
The iDirect 7.0 software will allow satellite providers to better support diverse customers' requirements from a single platform, and maximize their hardware investment.
It supports greater functionality such as Mesh networking and narrowband connectivity, as well as greater network efficiency through TCP payload compression and UDP header and payload compression. It also has the Global NMS solution functionality, which allows iDirect remotes to move from one satellite's coverage to another while maintaining connectivity.
