edotco Malaysia and Melaka ICT Holdings have entered into a collaboration to roll out next-generation telecoms infrastructure in the state of Malacca.
Under the collaboration, 14 sites have so far been earmarked for deployment across the state as part of a project to improve wireless broadband service and quality in the region.
Melaka ICT Holdings CEO Zulkiply bin Harun said the collaboration will enable quicker installation of solutions that will help mobile operators meet the growing mobile and broadband service demands of the state's residents.
“We are honored to have gained the trust of Melaka ICT Holdings to develop a comprehensive range of world class telecommunications infrastructure for the historic state,” added edotco group chief regional officer Wan Zainal Adileen.
“This relationship will allow us to share our expertise and play a role in the development of Malacca, especially as the country heads towards 5G readiness.”
edotco Malaysia is a subsidiary of Asian telecoms tower company edotco, which was established in 2012 and now operates over 26,000 towers across Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Pakistan and Myanmar.
