Total Access Communication, a Telenor subsidiary that operates the DTAC mobile network in Thailand, reported a 17.1% third-quarter net profit rise to 1.20 billion baht ($32.26 million) from 1.02 billion baht ($27.43 million) in the same period a year ago, a Dow Jones report said.
The Dow Jones report said the company added 841,044 subscribers in the quarter, expanding its subscriber base to almost 11.5 million subscribers.
For Telenor, DTAC will contribute earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $109.9 million, and operating profit of $56.45 million, on revenues of $306.27 million, according to the Dow Jones report.
In a report to the Singapore Stock Exchange, DTAC said EBITDA rose 10.2% to 4.41 billion baht ($662.13 million), but EDITDA margin fell to 35.8%, the Dow Jones report said.
Total revenues reached 11.9 billion baht ($319.82 million), up 16% from 10.2 billion baht ($274.26 million) a year ago, the Dow Jones report further said.
