For the fourth consecutive year, Japanese incumbent mobile operator NTT DoCoMo topped a business customer satisfaction survey for mobile devices and PHS services.
The study, conducted by J.D. Power Asia Pacific, examined four factors to determine overall satisfaction: handset and service, troubleshooting, sales representatives, and cost. Results showed that business customers in Japan are more satisfied with mobile phone or PHS services from DoCoMo than any other provider
“DoCoMo is delighted to be ranked highest in business customer satisfaction for a fourth straight year,” said Tsutomu Shindou, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Corporate Marketing Division.
“We deeply appreciate that business customers acknowledge the high level of our service. Mindful of the expectations implied in this study, we will continue to constantly improve our network quality and introduce high-quality services based on mobility.”
DoCoMo said it has carried out a variety of initiatives since the previous study to further upgrade services, including enhancing its smartphone and tablet service menu with new cloud-based solutions and introducing new security services, and also improving network quality and coverage areas for its FOMA 3G and Xi LTE services.
The company serves over 60 million mobile customers in Japan via advanced wireless networks, including a nationwide 3G network and one of the world’s first commercial LTE networks.
