This brings to five, the number of MCPs the Group has launched since Dimension Data announced the global delivery platform for all its cloud services.
The Hong Kong MCP enables Dimension Data to further entrench its global cloud presence, making it easier for organizations to harness the cost and agility benefits of a self-service cloud model. In addition, it provides organizations low latency access to secure, enterprise-class public, private and hosted private cloud services within the Asia Pacific Region.
Dimension Data offers public and private cloud Compute-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions that provide self-service, on-demand, cloud-based compute, storage and networking resources. Using a web-based or REST-based application interface (API), clients are able to provision, access and manage public, private and hosted private cloud services by Dimension Data.
Dimension Data's private cloud services provide a pre-determined set of server and storage resources as a dedicated service that can be deployed either in a client's data centre, or off-premise. The service includes the physical infrastructure, virtualization and operating system software, implementation, cloud management (automated provisioning, orchestration and billing) and ongoing management by Dimension Data.
