Macau’s leading telecom operator, CTM, and Cisco announced a collaboration for taking cloud computing to the next level in Macau.
With Cisco’s innovative new technologies and extensive experience in cloud computing and CTM’s well-established high-speed network facilities and quality services, it is expected that the collaboration will pave the way for the digital future of Macau.
“Cloud computing is evolving as a mainstream component of the IT industry. For more than 30 years, CTM has been at the forefront in the local telecom arena and remains fully committed to delivering the most sophisticated telecom services to the Macau community. The collaboration between CTM and Cisco lays a solid foundation for Macau to march towards a new era of cloud computing,” Donald Shaw, vice president of sales & marketing of CTM said.
Shaw added that by combining the strengths of both parties, CTM is confident of providing customers in Macau with a comprehensive range of cloud based value-added services with greater security, reliability and flexibility, which will become a key driver for enterprise customers to manage business more cost effectively, and be an important component of business competitiveness, ultimately underpinning the economic development of Macau.
With more than 200,000 broadband subscribers, according to recent Macau government statistics, Macau needs cloud computing to sustain its economic development.
