Comptel has inked a 10-year contract with IBM in India involving license upgrades and support.

The agreement includes the Comptel provisioning and activation solution and the Comptel convergent mediation solution, which have already been in use by one of IBM's customers, a major mobile operator in India.

The license upgrades are valued at $4.7 million, which Comptel has booked for the fourth quarter of 2007. The value of the support and maintenance agreement will be booked over the effectivity of the contract, which is 10 years.
