(Wireless News via NewsEdge) Colgate University has deployed Netcordia's NetMRI E-400 to proactively monitor and analyze the entire network, including more than 300 closet switches and 100 servers.

The Colgate community, which includes all faculty, staff, and students in more than 100 locations, relies heavily on the university network.

NetMRI is an automated network diagnostic appliance that goes beyond reporting to provide analysis based on expert rules and best practices. It delivers a comprehensive report on the health of the network, enabling Colgate's network, systems, and operations group to remedy any problem areas.

Upon installation, NetMRI immediately discovered major network configuration issues the IT staff did not know existed, and provided tips on how to implement the solution.
