Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories and Alcatel-Lucent demonstrated outstanding results today from LTE field trial enabled by Alcatel-Lucent’s end-to-end 4G LTE solution.
The trial results include indoor demonstrations of applications and services on a wide variety of 4G LTE devices from various Taiwanese terminal manufacturers and outdoor mobility tests on a high-speed train.
In addition, Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories and Alcatel-Lucent both showcased drive demonstrations of some exciting in-car services enabled by LTE mobile technology in LTE Connected Cars.
The trial supports Chunghwa Telecom Labs’ efforts on Taiwan Networked Communications Program (NCP) and demonstrates Taiwan’s information and communication technology (ICT) leadership position in the global 4G LTE ecosystem. It also helps Chunghwa TelecomLaboratories assess new business opportunities created by bringing enhanced added-value applications and high quality mobile broadband experiences to its Taiwanese subscribers.
