China's broadband user base exceeded 35 million by the end of last year, or an increase of 52% year-on-year, a report from research firm IDC said.

The report said most of the users are small corporate entities.

David Yang, a senior analyst in IDC China's Telecom Research team, added that China's broadband VAS market will be the key driving force of broadband market growth, although China's broadband VAS market is still "immature."

He also added that the broadband VAS market of China's small and medium size enterprises "is worth paying attention to."

China has a large number of small and medium size enterprises with broadband access, which provide enough potential user groups of broadband VAS.
