China Telecom has signed a three-year agreement with IBM to help SMBs in China implement SAP cloud-based applications, said IBM in a statement.

Under the partnership, China Telecom will manage clients' infrastructure including cloud platform resources, networking and mobile devices. IBM will integrate the software, hardware and end-to-end service capabilities to create an environment that supports SAP applications on the cloud.

Clients will be able to migrate and integrate new applications on the cloud, while maintaining and operating current applications, the companies said in a statement.

IBM will also supply skills education that China Telecom requires to support SMB clients throughout all phases of implementation, including testing, customization and ongoing-issue resolution.

China Telecom and IBM will first focus on clients in Guangdong Province, then extend the project to key areas like the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, Beijing and Tianjin.
