Capgemini and Matrixx Software claim a partnership will boost communications provider’s customer relationships by enabling real-time interaction with subscribers.
A partnership between the pair aims to deliver instant visibility and information on mobile data services, using Matrixx’s smart charging technology. The firm claims its product offers a 50-times to 100-times improvement in charging efficiency, by providing details of customer behavior, over-the-top usage patterns, machine-to-machine traffic profiles, subscriber spending, and service uptake and profitability.
“[W]e now have the technology to deploy smart charging and policy on a commercial scale,” Dee Burger, Capgemini telecom, media and entertainment practice lead, notes adding. “Our partnership with Matrixx is paving the way for more profitable services, through the ability to analyze, monitor and monetize data traffic in real time.”
The companies claim trials of the technology conducted with tier one operators over the past year have proven its ability to interoperate with BSS and OSS systems, which they state is a key element in providing smart charging and real-time policy decisions throughout the subscriber base. The pair plans to demonstrate the solution at the Mobile World Congress late February.
