US-based application delivery networking vendor Blue Coat Systems yesterday dedicated its newest product development center in Bangalore.
Blue Coat acquired a majority stake in Indian venture S7 Software Solutions in January, and has since been transforming the former IT R&D firm into the new center.
The entity will be one of Blue Coat's four major product development sites worldwide. Its focus will be on management, reporting and client software products.
“With four fully integrated development centers, we can accelerate our pace of innovation and expand our Application Delivery Network solution portfolio,” Blue Coat senior vice president Brian Ball said.
Blue Coat has embarked on a search for new engineering talent that will last several months, and intends to acquire the remaining stake in S7 Systems after receiving approval from the Indian government.
