Bharti Airtel names Badal Bagri as CFO, replaces Nilanjan Roy
Bharti Airtel has appointed Badal Bagri as chief financial officer and key managerial person with effect from March 1. Bagri will replace Nilanjan Roy, who resigned last month to join Indian software giant Infosys.
Bharti Airtel said it had accepted the resignation of Roy with effect from February 28. Bagri is currently CFO of India & South Asia operations, a position he held since he rejoined Bharti Airtel in January 2017. He earlier worked for the telco between 2010 and 2014.
After leaving Airtel in 2014, Bagri was the CFO of Micromax and subsequently, Aircel.
Nokia appoints Sandra Motley president of fixed networks business group
Nokia has promoted Sandra D. Motley from chief operation officer of its fixed networks business group to the unit’s president, effective January 1.
Motley succeeds Federico Guillén, who has transferred from the fixed network business group to become president of customer operations, EMEA & APAC effective on the same date.
She reports to Nokia president and CEO Rajeev Suri.
Motley brings a background in business development, sales, marketing, research, product development, portfolio management, and strategy to her new role.
She started her career at AT&T Bell Laboratories, moved to Alcatel-Lucent and held a variety of R&D and sales leadership positions in both fixed and wireless businesses, and then joined Nokia in 2016, when the Finnish vendor bought Alcatel-Lucent.
