Vietnam’s Audio Visual Global (AVG), a new pay-television network, has officially put into operation a year-long trial, a report said.
AVG, which supplies programs with digital terrestrial television and direct-to-home technologies, said apart from VTV and international channels, it will broadcast other channels such as the Vietnam News Agency’s VNews, the report added.
AVG is also working with other television stations and the monthly fee for the service has been set at 60,000 to 150,000 dong ($2.8 to $7).
Vietnam has about a dozen pay-TV providers, which employ cable, Internet, digital satellite or a combination of terrestrial and satellite services.
