Australian VoIP, broadband and cloud-based communications provider provider MNF Group has arranged to acquire Singapore facilities based operator (FBO) SuperInternet Group for S$2 million ($1.47 million).

MNF Group plans to use the acquisition to deliver its full suite of wholesale, enterprise and government products to the Singapore market.

The acquisition consists of an interconnected voice network infrastructure, dark fiber within the Singapore CBD, national interconnection with Singapore NG-NBN provider NetLink Trust and a team of 10 specialist staff.

MNF already operates a PoP in Singapore for its global voice services provider business TNZI, and also plans to continue to invest in the local enterprise and government sector to deploy additional product capabilities to the market.

“The acquisition of SuperInternet in Singapore provides MNF a rapid entry into the complex Singapore market and is part of MNF's regional expansion strategy into Asia,” MNF CEO Rene Sugo said.

“This will allow the company to replicate its highly successful Australian and New Zealand based next-generation high margin recurring revenues in this additional market for consistent long-term growth and innovation potential.”

Subject to regulatory approvals the deal is expected to be closed by the end of next month.
