AT&T wins Olympics selection

AT&T has won the rights to deliver digital broadcast coverage of next year's Olympic Games to American viewers. Gopi Gopinath, vice president of AT&T Asia Pacific (left), signed for the deal with Zhang Chunjiang, executive chairman of China Netcom, the official fixed-line Olympic telco, in Beijing Monday. The US NBC network has the broadcast rights for the event, which will start in one year's time, on August 8, 2008.
