AT&T and Cisco are helping to solve the next generation of collaboration needs by making conferencing more accessible for business users.
AT&T will offer a new service that lets customers quickly activate a conference with voice, video and content sharing using almost any connected device—including smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.
The new AT&T service utilizes Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms (CMR) Cloud, a video collaboration service that couples WebEx Personal Rooms with the cloud-based WebEx Video Bridge into one, instantly-available meeting experience accessible from virtually any video device.
AT&T Conferencing with Cisco CMR Cloud lets customers easily mobilize their business with flexible cloud-based solutions that integrate video, audio and web conferencing capabilities into one. Whether users are in the office or on-the-go, the offering allows them to participate in virtual meetings, share content, and be more productive - all with the push of a button
"Traditionally, business video conferencing meant expensive equipment investments and a fixed office space," said Abhi Ingle, AT&T’s senior vice president for Big Data & Advanced Solutions.
"Now, we're making video collaboration easy and accessible to virtually anyone with a connected device. Additionally, through endpoints like the Cisco IX5000, users can utilize the two-way cameras found on almost many mobile devices for an integrated, highly reliable collaboration solution that helps reduce meeting-related travel costs."
