If US users are finding the iPad 3's 4G connectivity problematic, in Australia the tag has landed Apple in hot water.
The device firm has been forced to offer consumers in the market a refund, after local competition authorities took legal action over inclusion of "4G" in adverts for the product.
LTE connectivity is currently only available to iPad users in markets running LTE on the 700- and 2100-MHz bands. In Asia, only Japan uses those frequencies, prompting the firm's Australian subsidiary to offer to email buyers to clarify its advertising to fend off the threat of a ban on sales.
