Aepona unveiled a multi-line service for enterprises on Tuesday at the 3GSM World Congress Asia in Singapore.

The service provides two separate phone numbers on the same handset and SIM card, giving telecom operators a compelling value proposition to its enterprise customers, the company said.

With separate service packages and billing plans on each line, employees of a company can use their mobile phones to access enterprise services, such as VPN, billed under a monthly contract, while their personal consumption of mobile services will be on a separate prepaid account.

Michael Crossey, Aepona's VP of marketing, said the service is the first of a range of upcoming applications hosted on its re-branded universal service platform, through which mobile, fixed-line and converged telecoms operators can rapidly deploy and introduce a broad range of services.
