Two rounds of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/22 have come to an end. Throughout this time, all teams managed to earn a certain number of DPC points. Some teams have been steadily gaining points over the course of two seasons, while others have taken off within a single season and already made it to the top. Remember that at the end of three rounds, 12 teams with the most DPC points will receive a direct invite from Valve to participate in The International 11. Several teams have already managed to earn this invite ahead of schedule, and the rest have yet to compete for it. At this point in the top 12 teams with the most points are two Chinese teams, two teams from the CIS, three representatives from Europe, two teams from Southeast Asia, two teams from South America and one team from North America. In this article from Cybersport.Metaratings.ru, you will find out who these teams are and which of them have the most chances to keep their place in the top.

PSG.LGD

The Chinese eSports organization PSG.LGD is the absolute leader in Dota Pro Circuit 2021/22 in terms of the number of DPC points earned. Moreover, the team now has the maximum number of points it could possibly earn. In the first season, PSG.LGD earned 550 DPC points (300 for the league and 250 for the regional finals). And another 850 DPC points for the second season (400 for the league and 450 for the regional finals). PSG.LGD finished in first place in all of these tournaments, earning the title of China's strongest team. They haven't participated in any international tournaments since The International 10, but they can be considered as the strongest team in the world (or one of them). PSG.LGD was the first team to earn an invite to The International 11. And now there's absolutely no doubt that it will do a great job at the main tournament of the year. Maybe this is the time when the legendary tag PSG.LGD can finally become the TI champion and win the Aegis.

TSM FTX

Hardly anyone expected to see TSM FTX in second place on the top teams with the most DPC points after two rounds of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/22. After all, this team was previously considered to be the average North American team that failed at The International 10 and took only 13-16th place there. However, after that the players did not change the lineup, they continued to play together and become stronger. As a result, in the first DPC season the team managed to become the second in North America (180 points), and then won the regional finals (250 points). At the same time, the team was signed by a professional eSports club and received a new name: TSM FTX. Under the new tag, the guys once again finished second in their second DPC season (240 points), and then went to ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022. At this tournament, TSM FTX sensationally placed second and earned a whopping 610 points, nearly doubling their total score. Now, TSM FTX has 1280 DPC points, which is enough to get the TI11 invitation. In other words, the North American team has already qualified for the main tournament of the year. And a more prominent representative of this region, Evil Geniuses, couldn't even make it into the top 12 by the number of DPC points.

OG

OG got a completely new roster after The International 10, with young and promising players. At first it seemed that the team would fail, as it was composed of newcomers. But these guys were not as simple as it appears. With the moral support of n0tail and Ceb, they performed quite well during the first DPC season and took fourth place (60) points, but at the regional finals they failed completely and couldn't earn any extra points. In the second DPC season, everything changed. OG simply demolished all of their opponents and finished the league in first place (400 points), also earning an invitation to ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022. At that tournament, OG was able to show their ultimate power, even though they played with a substitute. The team won the major and thus earned 680 points. That adds up to 1,140 points for OG. This amount will be enough to qualify directly for The International 11, so OG can relax a bit in the next season. This team has already proven its worth to everyone. It seems that now only OG can handle PSG.LGD in the biggest tournament of the year. At the moment, the main goal of the team is to approach it in peak form.

Gaimin Gladiators

Gaimin Gladiators is another newly formed team that appeared on the Dota 2 eSports arena just this year. The team immediately began to show decent results and beat the European top teams. During the first DPC season, the team took second place (180 points), and as part of the regional finals showed its best and took first place (250 points). So, unexpectedly, the Gaimin Gladiators became one of the strongest teams in their region. During the next regular championship in Europe, the team finished second again (240 points) and went to the major. At ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022, Gaimin Gladiators also gave us something to remember them by, finishing in fourth place. The team played well throughout the tournament, but in the last few days they lost their momentum. However, this is a big advantage for Gaimin Gladiators, because now the team will be able to analyze the problems and errors and remove them in the future. If the team does a good job on their mistakes, they'll become even stronger for the next DPC season. Gaimin Gladiators has already qualified for The International 11, so there's nothing to worry about.

Thunder Awaken

Thunder Awaken has shown their prowess in the first two rounds of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/22, although they are also a very young team. During their first DPC season, they finished in first place (300 points), but at the regional finals they only finished third and didn't receive any points for that position. In the second DPC season, Thunder Awaken was first again (400 points), but this time there were no regional finals. The team went to the major in Stockholm, where it showed a very impressive game and managed to take 5-6th place at the tournament, earning another 385 points, to everyone's surprise. However, due to the substitution, the team lost some points and now has 1040 DPC points, which should also be enough for an invitation to The International 11. To be on the safe side, Thunder Awaken needs to finish at least in the top 3 at the next regional championship. That would guarantee the team an invitation.

Beastcoast

Beastcoast's position is very similar to that of Thunder Awaken. The team finished third in its first DPC season (120 points), but then became the regional finals champion (250 points). In the second season, Beastcoast finished second (240 points) and qualified for the majors. In Stockholm, Beastcoast also did very well and was able to reach the top 5-6 for another 385 points. The team now has 995 points. That should already be enough for a direct invite, but for the next DPC season it is better not to rank low, as anything can happen. That means that two teams from South America have already received a guaranteed slot in the main tournament of the year. The main thing is that they have to do better there than they did last year.

Fnatic

Fnatic is currently the strongest team in Southeast Asia, but they haven't yet guaranteed themselves a place on The International 11. Things didn't start out so well for Fnatic. The team finished second during the first DPC season (180 points), and they failed to score any points at the regional finals. However, Fnatic came in first (400 points) in the next regular championship. At ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022, all teams from Southeast Asia performed at mediocre levels, but Fnatic at least managed to make it to the top 8, earning another 240 points. That gives the team a total of 820 DPC points. That probably won't be enough to get an invite to the main tournament of the year. But it should be easy for Fnatic if they finish first or second in season three. That should be a manageable goal for Fnatic. That said, if the team finishes third or fourth, that could also be enough to pass the point requirement.

Team Spirit

Teams from the CIS don't have the most solid places in this ranking, but it's nice to have them here at least. Team Spirit earned 300 points in their first DPC season, taking first place, and then won the regional finals with another 250 points. It was a perfect result, but the second DPC season did not go so well for the "dragons". It is worth recalling that it was held in a reduced form and lasted only five days. This time Team Spirit didn't manage to join in time, which resulted in their finishing only second in the CIS (240 points). However, this wasn't a big problem, as Team Spirit could have earned points at ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022. Unfortunately, the team failed, and was left in the top-12 of the major without any extra DPC points. Team Spirit now has 790 points, which isn't enough for a direct invite to The International 11. The team must place first or second in the third DPC season to get it. Given the level of the teams in the CIS, this should not be a problem for Team Spirit, so the "dragons" are already halfway in the main tournament of the year.

Tundra Esports

Tundra Esports showed a rather poor performance during the first DPC season, although before it began it was considered one of the main candidates for the win. The team was able to finish only in third place (120 points) and was left without any points at all during the regional finals. After that, the team made a substitution and lost some more points. However, it was of no use, because during the second DPC season, Tundra Esports took only fourth place (80 points). The team was already in a poor situation, but they managed to perform well at ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022 and took third place there (530 points). That gives Tundra Esports a total of 712 points. That's not enough for a direct TI11 invite, but there's only a few points left to gain. Tundra Esports, like Team Spirit or Fnatic, simply has to finish first or second in the next DPC season. Or earn extra points at the third major (you have to get at least into the top 8). That would be enough for Tundra Esports to qualify for the main tournament of the year.

BetBoom Team

BetBoom Team came into this top completely unexpectedly, but now they have a real chance to get a direct invite to The International 11. During its first DPC season, BetBoom Team was still playing in Division II, so it didn't receive points for either the regular season or the regional finals. But in the second season, BetBoom Team was the first in its region and received as much as 400 DPC points. The team also performed well at ESL One Stockholm Dota Major 2022, finishing 7th-8th and receiving 240 points. In total, this gave BetBoom Team 640 DPC points. To qualify for the main tournament of the year, the team must take first place next season, although in some scenarios second place will be enough. In addition, BetBoom Team can also earn points at the summer major. In other words, if BetBoom Team doesn't fail, it will make it to TI11, but there is always a chance to fail, so the team should be as careful as possible.

Team Aster

Team Aster is the second strongest team in China. In the first DPC season it finished second (180 points), but was third at the regional finals and left without additional points. In contrast, Team Aster finished third in season two (160 points), but was second at the regional finals (300 points). Thanks to this, the team has 640 DPC points. During the summer season, the team should also become second or third, which will allow it to maintain a place in the top-12. Of course, ideally, Team Aster should take first place, but given the playing form of PSG.LGD, it seems to be an unfeasible task.

BOOM Esports

BOOM Esports has long been considered the strongest team in Southeast Asia, but it completely failed in the major. The team earned 550 points in the first DPC cycle, placing first in both the regular championship and the regional finals. But in its second season, BOOM finished second (240 points). It failed in the major and was left without extra points, and it even lost some more points because of the substitution. As a result, BOOM now has 622.5 DPC points. This is obviously not enough to qualify for TI11, so the team needs to perform well during the summer DPC season.
