The Real Madrid star has been strongly linked with a potential move to Saudi Arabia, with reports suggesting the 24-year-old is seriously contemplating the offer. However, on Wednesday, Vini Jr. had the honor of wearing the captain's armband for the first time, as key players like Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez started on the bench, Dani Carvajal was sidelined due to injury, and Fede Valverde was given a rest.

After the match, while speaking with Real Madrid TV, the Brazilian winger conveyed his elation and firmly stated his desire to remain at the Bernabeu for many years to come.

Vinicius told Real Madrid TV after the match
“It’s something very special. “After so much time here and at 24 years old, playing my first game as captain is a source of pride for me and my family, after everything we’ve been through to be here, to reach the club of my dreams and to be able to fulfill my dreams... I hope I can continue doing this for a long time. “I’m happy with the team, with being able to reach a semi-final of the Cup as captain of the biggest club in the world, it’s something inexplicable. I’m experiencing it, it’s something I’ve never dreamed of or imagined... Next game I’ll reach 300 games and I already want 400 and 500. I want to make history at this club.”

Vinicius Jr. has scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in his 34 appearances for Real Madrid this season across all competitions, and the 24-year-old forward should be in action on Saturday, March 1, when Madrid visits the Benito Villamarín Stadium to take on Real Betis.
