Gymnast Simone Biles has won the Olympic individual all-around final title for the second time in her remarkable career, two days after leading the U.S. women's team back to the gold medal in the team event.

Simone Biles has joined Larisa Latynina and Věra Čáslavská as one of only three women to have won the women's individual all-around twice. Biles began strongly with a huge score of 15.766 on the vault, but a mistake on the uneven bars briefly placed her in second place behind Andrade. She then recovered on the beam and delivered an outstanding performance on the floor to capture her second all-around gold medal.
Andrade performed consistently well in every event, achieving particularly high scores on vault and floor, which led her to win her second consecutive Olympic silver medal in the all-around competition, following her silver in Tokyo.
On the other hand, Lee had decent scores on vault and beam, but excelled in her routines on bars, leading the field with a score of 14.866, and floor, securing her second consecutive Olympic all-around medal. Lee, who overcame kidney issues between the games to compete in Paris, became the first former gold medalist to return to the podium since Nadia Comaneci in 1980.
This victory marks Biles' first individual gold since the 2016 Rio Games and further solidifies her position as the most decorated American gymnast of all time. With nine total medals, she surpasses Shannon Miller's record of seven, making her the most decorated gymnast in U.S. Olympic history.
