The Argentine was substituted for Noussair Mazraoui on Wednesday following Patrick Dorgu’s straight red card for a challenge on Ipswich winger Omari Hutchinson. Instead of joining United's bench, Garnacho headed straight down the tunnel.

After the incident at Old Trafford on Wednesday, Amorim mentioned during his press conference that he planned to speak with Garnacho. However, he later revealed that the 20-year-old Argentine international approached him the next day to explain himself.

Amorim said,
He came to me. ‘It was funny because the next day he came to my office. I did some investigations; he went to the dressing room, changed his clothes because he was wet, he watched the game, not on the bench, and at the end of the game he was there and went home. ‘There’s not an issue. But I told him that at Manchester United everything is important and perception at a big club is really important. He is going to pay a dinner for all the team and that is it.’

The United manager confirmed that the Argentinian would be available for selection in Sunday’s FA Cup fifth-round clash against Fulham, though he must first recover from an injury sustained against Ipswich.

Amorim Continues,
"He has a knock," Amorim said. "When he went to shoot he was blocked inside the box. I expect him to be ready but we will see. He is a young kid that will learn. The important thing is that the next morning he was speaking with me. We need to see the small things in walking out to the pitch. The players have to understand the perception here was really important.

Garnacho this season has only managed to score eight goals and provide six assists in his 40 appearances for Manchester United this season.
