Van Persie is not having the best time in his full managerial career after leading Heerenveen to a humiliating 9-1 defeat on Saturday to AZ Alkmaar. It was a night to forget for the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker. Fans have taken to social media to express their views on the issue, with many believing he is following the managerial doom attached to the Fergie boys, citing Gary Nevile, Roy Keane, and Wayne Rooney as examples. These questions and fans' reactions are discussed below, with odds you can stake on for money.

Van Persie has had experience coaching since 2021, when he officially joined Feyenoord as a field coach, before becoming the co-head coach at the club’s under-16 team. He was promoted to co-head coach of the club’s under-18 side and the U-19 in the 2023–24 UEFA Youth League. During his time with Feyenoord, he was part of the coaching crew that won the 2023 under-18 Mladen Ramljak Memorial Tournament.
Van Persie was appointed head coach of Heerenveen earlier in the summer on a two-year contract. Currently, Van Persie’s Heerenveen have only won one of their four games this season and sit 12th on the Eredivisie table. However, the season is very young, and it is not yet clear whether Van Persie will get anything from this team and this set of players.

Can Van Persie Break the Fergie Boys' Managerial Doom?
Two of Sir Alex Ferguson’s players who have had issues transitioning their player’s brilliance to coaching are Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney. The two were exceptional during their playing days but have suffered lots of criticism while coaching. Neville suffered his worst nightmare in March 2016, when he led Valencia to a 7-0 loss against Barcelona. Since then, he hasn’t made any remarkable comeback to coaching.
On the other hand, the current Plymouth head coach, Wayne Rooney, has yet to have easy coaching. One would have thought his excellence while playing could amount to something huge on the touchline, but nothing seems to be coming from it.
However, we can’t judge Van Persie yet; he has only managed this side for just four games, picking 4 points from this game. He might have had an embarrassing show against AZ Alkmaar, yet he still has a lot in store for these lads.
Heerenveen have 21 odds to get relegated, meaning that even though they are not a candidate for the league title or the continental tickets, they are still a strong candidate that will avoid relegation. So, do away with picking this side as a relegation team. Trust the process, and I see RVP making waves in his coaching career. Kom op!
However, Almere City, Heracles Almelo, and Waalwijk are still without a point this season, and it appears that at least two of these sides will be relegated.

In response to the post, a Manchester United supporter and sports analyst believes RVP will do better than Rooney and Gary Nevile as time progresses.
