The club announced in the early hours of today that the manager had been relieved of his duties on Monday.

Manchester United have had a disappointing season under the Dutch manager this season, as the defeat to West Ham United keeps United sitting 14th in the Premier League table after nine games. They have also failed to win any of their three Europa League games, drawing against Twente, Porto, and Fenerbahce.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach while United look to recruit a permanent successor to Ten Hag. The legendary United striker will lead the team for Wednesday's game at home to Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.
