Mail Sport reports that Amad Diallo sustained an injury during training this week and is currently undergoing evaluation, though he is anticipated to spend a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Ivory Coast international Diallo played a minor role under Erik Ten Hag but has flourished under Ruben Amorim, emerging as a standout performer and arguably Manchester United's best player this season.

Ahmad confirmed the injury on his X account, expressing his disappointment and determination to come back stronger.

The 22-year-old versatile forward has recently committed his future to Manchester United by signing a contract extension until 2030. This season, he has been instrumental for the Red Devils, contributing nine goals and seven assists across all competitions. Losing him at such a pivotal stage of the campaign indicates a significant blow for the team. With his absence, United faces a shortage of wide players, especially after Marcus Rashford and Antony were sent out on loan during the January transfer window.
