Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles won a whooping bet of $100,000 in a closely contested sprint race with online streamer IShowSpeed, with the video surfacing on social media.
Bet With Bet365IShowSpeed is one of the most popular content creators, and during one of his livestreams, MrBeast and Noah Lyles called IShowSpeed, challenging him to a footrace, with the winner winning $100K in the process. Initially, Speed hesitated, considering the distance it would take him to get to Florida from Orlando.
However, Speed made it to the track field with a Real Madrid soccer kit, but it was the six-time world champion Lyles who won in the end. Speed actually led for part of the race before his competitor pulled ahead in the final stretch.
Speed quickly claimed the race was a “tie” and even later added that he “actually won” the race. Different angles clearly showed that the 100m and 200m specialists crossed the finish line first. Speed then admitted that Lyles 'barely won' before the runner pledged to donate the $100k wager to charity.
IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr., is a 19-year-old streamer with 33 million followers on YouTube and is known for his athleticism and stunts, along with meeting prominent athletes such as Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lyles won 100m gold in Paris earlier this year and finished third in the 200m after battling COVID.
