Though the team co-owned by GMR and JSW have done reasonably well at the start of the tournament, there are some areas of concern for which they will have to find a solution.

The opening slot is one of them, which has left the DC vulnerable at times. They have used Faf du Plessis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Abhishek Porel, and Karun Nair in the top order.

As they gear up for their next clash with Lucknow Super Giants, DC will have to find a solution to this problem as they continue their pursuit of the top spot. Both teams hope to earn two points to join Gujarat Titans in the top spot with 12 points. DC and LSG had clashed in their opening match in IPL 2025, which DC won by one wicket.

Delhi Capitals, who have 10 points under their belt from seven matches so far, get into the match after suffering a defeat against Gujarat Titans in their previous fixture and will look to bounce back in the match against Lucknow Super Giants at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

They will continue to depend on their middle order led by KL Rahul, Axar Patel, Tristian Stubbs, and Ashutosh Sharma, and the bowling unit of Mitchell Starc, Mukesh Kumar, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav.

The 20-year-old leg-break bowler Vipraj Nigam has also contributed to the success of their bowling unit. The youngster will be playing in front of his family and, home crowd and admitted a bit nervousrvous a bit. “Yes, there is a lot of pressure and nervousness in all the games. It just adds up when you play in front of your family and coach.”

The young spinner lauded the senior players for providing the right kind of input and feedback. “I get advice from the seniors in every game. We do get some help from the seniors. There are some players who were in Lucknow last year and are here this year as well. We talk about those aspects in our team meetings and plan accordingly.”

Asked about an update on Faf du Plessis, Nigam said
He is recover, ring well but the final call will be taken by the management.

While Delhi Capitals will be trying to find a solution for their opening slot,, their opponents Luc,know Super Giants are also struggling, with consistency as they too have 10 points but have played one match more. They are in fifth position on net run rate, trailing Gujarat Titans (12), Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Punjab Kings.

They come into the match following a fine wthe in against Rajasthan Royals in which Avesh Khan defended nine runs in the final over to win by two runs. Lucknow's success has been due to their top order of Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, and Aiden Markram. Pooran is currently in the second position in the top run-getters chart.

Their middle order is still to geownnto its won, especially skipper Rishabh Pant, who has so far managed just 106 runs from eight matches. He did score his lone half-century against Chennai Super Kings, posting 63 off 49 balls. The two sides have played six matches so far, with both teams winning three games each.
