Cristiano Ronaldo has sent an appreciation farewell message to Luis Castro after the Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, parted ways with the manager following a disappointing start to the Saudi Pro League season.

The club Al Nassr, via social media, announced their decision about the manager on Tuesday after just three games into the new season, claiming that "Luis Castro has left the club."
"Al Nassr can announce that head coach Luis Castro has left the club. "Everyone at Al Nassr would like to thank Luis and his staff for their dedicated work during the past 14 months, wishing them the best of luck for the future."
The five-time Ballon d'Or award winner Ronaldo, hours later after the club decision, took to his Instagram account to appreciate the Portuguese 63-year-old coach. Ronaldo shared a picture of himself with Luis Castro, with the picture having the caption, ‘Obrigado por tudo, Mister. Thank you for everything.’
Castro, a former Porto coach, failed to win a major trophy in Saudi Arabia aside from winning the Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 after taking the job in July 2023. Several reports have claimed that Al Nassr are on the verge of hiring former AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli.
